I hope everyone has had a good summer. We are less than two weeks until the Navy Midshipmen embark on Columbus to take on OSU. Now in his ninth year as Head Football Coach, it seems like just yesterday that Jim Tressel was inside Value City Arena giving the famous "In 310 days" speech about Michigan.

As I watched this years Spring Game, read through numerous stories and went to plenty of OSU blogging sites, I decided there are 5 crucial areas of interest that will need to be addressed:

1) The Offensive Line HAS got to improve their blocking techniques on both stopping the run and as well as the pass.

2) The RB situation: Will Brandon Saine be durable enough to help Boom Herron in key situations or will true Frosh Jamaal Berry be the X factor in making Saine an afterthought?

3) Terrelle Pryor's progression: In order for TP to develop into an NFL prospect, he will need to stay in the pocket and check down field to find the open receiver instead of relying on his feet.

4) The CB position really scares me. It will be very difficult in replacing a Thorpe Award winner like Malcolm Jenkins. Chimdi Chekwa was inconsistent last year and the battle for the other CB spot between Andre Amos and Devon Torrence does not make me feel any better.

5) Winning big games: OSU has not defeated a Top 10 since Michigan in 2006. The Buckeyes have lost 5 in a row to teams in the Top 10. That includes Florida in '06 BCS Title, LSU in '07 BCS Title, and in 2008 to USC, Penn State and Texas in the Fiesta Bowl.

In order for OSU to regain some swagger, 9/12 is a "Must win" situation. Tressel and Co. will need to show USC (as well as the nation) that they are not anyone’s whipping boy.

GO BUCKS!!!
