I looked at the final score of 20-2 and was completely disgusted. The O-Line has got a LOT of work to do before heading to Seattle next week to take on Washington. I see a so called "veteran" line that looks lost. They're playing like they did against Florida back in January. Our new center, Jim Cordle, is TERRIBLE at calling the plays up front. They're not pushing the D-Line back to gain any significant yardage. The one exception was TE Jake Ballard's block that sprung "Beanie" Wells for a 20+ yard run in the first half. Other than that, they looked like molasses out there. The Huskies are no slouch by any means. We'll get hammered this coming Saturday if they continue to have mediocre run plays that are going nowhere. The passing game looks all right (for the moment). Todd Boeckman needs to watch where he's throwing the ball. He threw one pick where nobody was in the area. It was total miscommunication on either the QB or the WR.

Another solid crowd @ Gills. 85+ loyal Bucknuts were treated to a great atmosphere inside. We made another $246 for our raffle. There were plenty of school supplies dropped off today and more supplies that will be needed in the coming weeks. With your help, Westside Elementary will reap the rewards of your generosity. A big thanks, once again, goes out to Paul Malanga and Stephanie Satterfield for conducting the raffle. Every dollar counts towards our scholarship. Thanks to everyone.

The Defense looked more focused and played much looser than the opener with YSU. James Laurinaitis ran up the middle for an easy sack. There was constant pressure on Akron's QB'S Chris Jacquemain and Carlton Jackson. It turned out that, other than the safety, Punter John Stec (14 punts), was the Zips' player of the game.

Thaddeus Gibson proved why he doesn't play offense. His INT drop in the first half was a pick six all the way.

"Beanie" had a fantastic 40 yard run late in the game that moved him over 100+ yards.

Brian Robiskie had a nice 13 yard TD catch in the 4th Quarter and Brandon Saine still impresses me with his speed and quickness as he crossed the goal line for the second straight week.

Luckybuck's Helmet Sticker player of the game: "Beanie" Wells: 20 carries, 143 yards. 1st career 100 yard rushing game.

On tap: OSU goes on their first road trip of the season when they take on the Washington Huskies. Kick-off is @ 2:30pm. ESPN will carry the game. Come on out to Gills and enjoy yourself with other Buckeye fans. Don't forget to bring your scissors as we try to "Snip the Huskies". Hope to see you there this coming Saturday.

GO BUCKS!!!
