WOW!!! A historic day of upsets has catapulted OSU all the way to #4 in both the AP writers’ poll and USA Today coaches’ poll. The Buckeyes are now in position to run the table and get back into the national championship picture. Thanks to Jeff Reeb for informing me of the 35 fans present at Gills. Also, $82 was raised for the scholarship fund. Hope everyone had a great time at Gills. The Buckeyes finish 11-0 in the Metrodome (the Gophers will move into a new stadium on campus in 2009).

The defense was shaky to start the game. The Gophers didn't capitalize as their 42 FG attempt sailed wide right. "Beanie" Wells and Co. took advantage as the Buckeyes scored on a 6 yard TD run. The key play was punter A.J. Trapasso's 18 yard run on a fake punt. What was amazing is that Trapasso dropped the snap AND still had blocking to reach the first down marker. I'm not saying he has Brandon Saine speed, but he was pretty quick on that run.

I never knew that Jim Tressel was a riverboat gambler type of coach. Boy, did he prove me wrong. I'm still waiting to see if that was a JT mask and Steve Spurrier was coaching from the sideline. I kind of wish he would've saved that play for later in the season.

One thing I noticed when I watched the game Sunday morning was that in the second quarter, ESPN2's Bob Davie had said that the Buckeyes were fixing to go "downtown" on the next play. After the "Beanie" Wells run out of bounds play that also tacked on a late hit, Davie said to look for a Brian Robiskie sighting on a play action pass. He must've gotten a hold of the OSU playbook because Todd Boeckman found "Robo" for a 52 yard TD reception that was more acrobatic than anything. It was Robiskie's 6th TD catch of the year. He has done a wonderful job in replacing TGII and "Gonzo" as the #1 receiver for the Buckeyes.

Both defenses were pretty solid in the second half. The Buckeyes scored an early FG in the third quarter and a Brian Hartline 19 yard TD reception in the middle of the fourth quarter.

Ray Small has some jets. His 37 yard run set up "Beanie" Wells' second TD run.

Luckybuck's Helmet sticker Player of the Game: Brian Robiskie: 5 rec. 99 yards. 1TD. It was Robiskie's third game in a row that he has had a scoring pass of at least 40 yards from Todd Boeckman.

On tap: The Buckeyes will travel to West Lafayette, IN to take on the undefeated Purdue Boilermakers. Kickoff is set for 7:00pm. The game will be telecast on ABC. However, it's a regional game. The Memphis area has been designated to see the Notre Dame-UCLA game. So there's a chance that the game will be not seen at all since there's no available satellite video feed. Jeff Reeb is looking into it and will inform everybody by Thursday if there will be any TV feed. Have a great week.

GO BUCKS!!!
