Now
that OSU is halfway through the 2009 season, let's look back at some surprises
and disappointments thus far.
Surprises:
D-Line: It is by far the most dominating line that I've seen in close to 15
years. The front four have been the heart and soul of this team and is shutting
down the run game with authority.
Jordan Hall: When given the opportunity, this true freshmen RB has made the
most of his time on the field and delivers punishment to the opposition.
Disappointments:
Terrelle Pryor: I know he's a gifted athlete, but after 15 starts, can he not
see the whole field and find the open receiver? It’s as though he is trying to
fit a circle into a square peg.
Boom Herron: He is clearly not the successor to Beanie Wells. His vision is
below average at best and he is becoming injury prone as of late with an ankle.
Brandon Saine has done more with fewer carries than Herron.
Purdue, under new coach Danny Hope, welcomes the Buckeyes in with a 5 game
losing streak. I see that becoming a six pack as of Saturday afternoon after
2:30pm. It's the beginning of 3 straight 11:00 am "Breakfast with the
Buckeyes" games.
Prediction: OSU 45 Purdue 10 (17 if they call
timeout with 5 seconds remaining).
GO BUCKS!!!
