With Halloween around the corner, Penn State got the tricks while Ohio State got all of the treats this past Saturday night. It wasn't so happy over in Happy Valley for the PSU student section. Not even the second largest crowd in Beaver Stadium could deflate the tires of the Buckeye Express. The Bucks rolled in #1 and left town #1.

As always, a thank you goes out to the 50 folks who came to Gill’s to rock the place out. Also, a big thanks to Paul Malanga and John Crossmock for another outstanding job with the raffle. $142 was raised toward the scholarship fund. 151 two pocket folders were donated by you, our devoted fan base. Excellent job for your generosity.

For the sixth straight week, the Buckeyes scored on their opening possession. Although it was a FG, it was great to see Ryan Pretorius nail a 50 yarder in a hostile environment. Penn State marched down the field and answered with a 2 yard TD run by Rodney Kinlaw. Brian "Robo" Robiskie caught a TD from 9 yards out which was set up by Ray Small's 61 yard bomb. Had the pass been caught in stride, Small was off to the races like Curlin was in winning the Breeders' Cup Classic.

For the second year in a row, Malcolm Jenkins had a pick six against PSU QB Anthony Morelli. This time it was from 24 yards out. Brent Musberger then asked for "Dandy" Don Meredith to get on the phone because it was time to turn out the lights, the party’s over!!! A solid, convincing win over a big name opponent on the road.

The Buckeyes were 12-16 on third down conversions and NEVER punted in the game over the 7th best defense in the nation. Amazing!!!

LB Dan Connor led all players with 18 tackles and 1 INT.

Brian Hartline had an excellent 16 yard TD catch on a receiver screen. Two things stood out to me on that TD: 1) Alex Boone can actually block downfield and 2) "Beanie" Wells' TD run, the play before, was called back for a holding call.

Cameron Heyward, week in and week out, is making a statement on the D-Line with his athletic ability and to hit people. His daddy, Craig "Ironhead" Heyward, is smiling somewhere in heaven. Cameron is a force to be reckoned with. He and Vernon "VG" Gholston are excellent bookends upfront for the Buckeye "D".

LuckyBuck's Helmet Sticker Player of the Game: RB Chris "Beanie" Wells and LB Marcus Freeman. Both men had a fantastic game. Wells had 133 yards on 25 carries and Freeman had 14 tackles (2 tackles for loss), and a Forced Fumble when he drilled Morelli.

On tap: The Buckeyes come back home to the 'Shoe to take on the Wisconsin Badgers. Kickoff is set for 11:00am on the Big Ten Network. Hopefully, we won't have to wait around with any "technical difficulties" like the last time we were on the BTN. The school supply item this week is markers as we look to "Smear the Badgers" and go to 10-0 on the season. I wonder if Badger tastes good. We'll find out this Saturday as we have "Breakfast with the Buckeyes". Have a great week.

GO BUCKS!!!
